Job Title: School CaretakerLocation: Plymouth PL5Hours: 2:00pm – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)Contract Type: Temporary 

Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to support the smooth running of our school premises during the afternoon hours. This is a key role in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and securing the premises as required
• Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs (non-specialist)
• Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of communal areas
• Monitoring and reporting any health & safety issues
• Assisting with room setups for school activities or meetings
• Liaising with contractors and reporting issues to the Site Manager

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Good practical skills and a hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Basic understanding of health & safety procedures
• Enhanced DBS check required
