Caretaker – Vertas Group Limited

30 hours per week, 44 weeks per year

5 hours a day; 06:00 - 09:00 and 15:00 - 18:00

Monday to Friday;£12.21 per hour

We're looking for a dedicated Custodian to offer opportunity to extend your experience, or to kickstart your career with extensive training for you to achieve your next career goal.

Main responsibilities of the Custodian include:

• The main part of the role includes cleaning and providing a safe and healthy environment for the children and staff.
• You will be responsible for unlocking the building, sanitizing classrooms, hallways, restrooms, litter picking and completing minor maintenance repairs.
• Topping up consumables (paper towels, toilet paper, soaps), emptying bins and general site duties.
• Weekly and monthly compliance checks and testing, communicating with customers, and contractors, setting alarms, and assisting with fire drills.

The successful Custodian will have:

• Basic understanding of health and safety (though full training will be provided), be willing to learn, and be comfortable using a laptop and email.
• They should also be confident answering the phone, communicating with customers, and contractors, setting alarms, and assisting with fire drills.
