Caretaker - Reed : Job Details

Reed Education are currently seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our School in Liverpool as soon as possible. The role offers a permanent shift pattern and requires flexibility to cover occasional holidays. The ideal candidate will have a current enhanced DBS including child disclosure and be eligible to work in the UK. Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential.

Day to Day of the role:

• Perform general caretaking duties including opening/closing the building and allowing entry to hirers.
• Carry out porterage tasks and set up rooms as required.
• Conduct litter picking and minor repairs, such as painting and cleaning.
• Work a permanent shift from 2pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday and 3pm to 8pm Friday.
• Cover occasional holiday shifts, which may be a morning shift from 7.15am to 12.15pm or an evening shift from 4pm to 9pm.
• During school holidays, work hours will be between 8am and 4pm, arranged with the Site Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have a current enhanced DBS including child disclosure.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Flexibility to cover various shifts, including during school holidays.
• Preferably have previous experience working in a school environment, although this is not essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and minor maintenance work.
