The Role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide day-to-day support to individuals in their homes and communities. Each day will be unique — whether it’s sharing a conversation, helping with errands, or supporting social engagement. You’ll also offer respite support for family carers, ensuring their loved ones receive compassionate care in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Support with errands, shopping, and attending appointments
• Assist with light meal preparation and medication reminders (no administration)
• Help with light housekeeping tasks
• Encourage hobbies, interests, and social participation
• Maintain accurate records and report any safeguarding concerns

Requirements

• Kind, empathetic, and dependable approach to care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while following safeguarding procedures
• Previous care experience desirable but not essential
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• UK driving licence is advantageous
• Must be based in the UK with no working-hour restrictions (including visa conditions)
