Job Description :
Summary

We’re looking for a Campsite Assistant to work at both Wasdale and Eskdale Campsites. Please be aware that the campsites are in remote valleys and we are not providing accommodation. There isn't any public transport so please think about how you’d be able to get here for work, before you apply for this job.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week. The shifts will be between the times of 8am and 8pm with weekend and bank holiday working required.

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31 October 2025

Salary: £12.75 an hour

Interview date: Week commencing 9th June

Internally, within the National Trust, you'll be known as an ‘Outdoors Holidays Operations Assistant’.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What it's like to work here

We have a friendly team of 11 staff working across the two sites. We are very proud of both of our campsites and we have very high standards. We work hard and have a lot of fun. This is a beautiful place to work.

You will be making sure that people have their best possible experience of an outdoor holiday with the National Trust. The role is a physical role including cleaning, welcoming guests, using a booking system, shop and till work, maintenance and gardening.

Everything you do day-to-day will make a big difference to someone’s holiday, and help to make things run smoothly and to the standard that guests expect from the National Trust.
