Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 + profit share bonus

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the CAD Technician - Canopies & Roof Glazing Systems will involve:

• CAD Technician position dealing with a high quality range of canopies, walkways, roof glazing, rooflights, and brise soliel
• Attend and carry out site surveys across the UK, sometimes requiring an overnight stay subject to location

• Design and prepare detailed general arrangement drawings including plans, elevations and section drawings, and or scale drawings for complex projects, survey measurements, sketches, and specifications
• Interface with other departments to assist with the flow of work from sales, planning, factory, delivery and installation
• Utilising AutoCAD and Excel to prepare electronic fabrication drawings, cutting lists, material schedules/allocations, packing lists and paint schedules
• Prepare basic requirements on structural design for assessment by structural engineer
• Projects ranging in value from £6k up to £250k

The ideal applicant will be a CAD Technician - Canopies & Roof Glazing Systems with:

• Must have design experience within the construction / engineering market sector
• Ideally from the roofing, cladding, facades, structures, metalwork, building envelope, timber frame, modular building, steel frame, exteriors products market sector
• Must have 2D AutoCAD experience
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Able to problem solve and offer solutions
• High levels of attention to detail
• Hungry, approachable and strong planning skills
