Your new companyYou will be working for a local manufacturing company with a UK and European presence. Your new roleYou will be responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials and packaging from approved suppliers, maintaining optimal stock levels, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures. The role requires a proactive approach to supplier management and cost optimisation, supporting production efficiency and business growth.

• Ensure 100% availability of raw and packaging materials to support production
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to achieve competitive pricing
• Maintain purchasing systems and safety stock levels
• Minimise delays in sales and production orders
• Ensure compliance with HMRC import regulations
• Manage stockholding of licensed and controlled goods

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience in manufacturing is essential
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

What you'll get in return

• £35,000-£40,000 Depending on experience
