Buyer - Reed : Job Details

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Buyer to support our procurement and supply chain operations. This short-term role is ideal for someone with experience in engineering purchasing who can hit the ground running and add immediate value.

• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with project and operational needs
• Action requisitions and update internal systems with delivery dates and order statuses
• Liaise with suppliers to chase delivery dates and resolve delays
• Monitor stock levels and action parts below minimum thresholds
• Request and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure best value
• Manage new and changed part requirements (DCD, ECR, DCN)
• Negotiate improved pricing and terms with suppliers
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with procurement policies

• Demonstrable experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within an engineering or technical environment
• Immediately available and able to start at short notice
• Able to work on-site every day at our Feltham location
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with procurement software and inventory systems
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
