Buyer - £45k-60k dependent on experience + opportunities to progressTonbridge | 7:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next challenge within a busy manufacturing environment? We’re working with a well-established company based in Tonbridge who are looking to add a dynamic, energetic Buyer to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong experience in purchasing within manufacturing or a related industry. You’ll need to bring enthusiasm, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to quickly get to grips with existing systems and processes — hitting the ground running from day one.

About the role:

• Sourcing and purchasing a range of materials and components for production as well as office facilities
• Building strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules
• Working closely with production, logistics and sales teams to ensure continuity of supply
• Managing stock levels and placing orders in line with business needs
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Please note, this role involves working 5 days on site in Tonbridge

What we’re looking for:

• Previous buying experience within a manufacturing, engineering or construction environment
• Experience sourcing metals is essential
• High energy, proactive and able to learn quickly
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• A commercial mindset with a sharp eye for detail
• A driver with own transport due to the location
