A growing aerospace company is seeking a proactive and commercially astute Buyer to join its procurement team, supporting the supply chain for cutting-edge space propulsion systems. • Work with project teams to define procurement needs, lead times, and quality requirements for bought-in goods.
• Lead the end-to-end buying process, including supplier sourcing, vetting, negotiation, order placement, and relationship management.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure material availability in line with project milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to align procurement with project success.
• Develop and maintain a resilient supplier base, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and ESG standards.

Buyer Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement within precision manufacturing or engineering.
• Proven ability to source niche products in limited supplier markets.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
• Experience working in regulated environments (ideally AS9100).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
