Buyer - Hales Group Limited : Job Details

Hales Group are seeking a Buyer to support our client with the purchase of goods and services in Lowestoft for 3 months.The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role ideally within the Marine / Oil & Gas / Engineering sector.Duties will include:

• Ensuring goods and services are purchased at competitive prices
• Sourcing suppliers
• Ensure you meet the companies framework agreements whenever possible
• Sending RFQ’s for goods and services
• Summarising and analysing quotations
• Creating Purchase orders
• Expediting Purchase orders, keeping requestors advised of delivery issues
• Liaising with engineering superintendents and other internal customers

The successful buyer will have demonstrable experience of the following:

• The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar role ideally within the Marine / Oil & Gas / Engineering sector.
• Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in use of Microsoft Excel applications
