My client is a reputable London Market Insurer and they are looking for a Business Systems Analyst Team Lead with previous Insurance experience to join their City office and lead a team of business systems analysts.

You will join a small yet very friendly and collaborative team of Business Systems Analysts with a great work ethic where you will be able to grow your technical skills further and gain wider exposure to the business and industry.

This is a fantastic time to join my client as they are going through a period of growth with many exciting projects in the pipeline.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of Business Systems Analysts, covering:
    • Author / define team's analysis standards, procedures and best practices.
    • Peer review of analysis outputs ensuring they can move on to next stage in SDLC.
    • Mentor team members, fostering professional growth, and encouraging best practices.
    • Take a leading role in estimating, prioritising, planning and coordinating of analysis activities
  • Support the Head of Enterprise Application Architecture as the acting Scrum Master, covering:
    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, i.e., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, review and retrospective.
    • Creating and maintain project timelines, monitoring progress against project goals.
    • Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team's progress.
  • Form strong business partnerships with the Business, and Business Excellence to understand the business process / business requirements.

Required skills/ experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in Business Systems Analysis in the Specialty Insurance Industry.
  • Line management experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
  • Documenting Use Cases, System Requirement specs, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Process analysis, data mapping and data analytical skills using SQL and Excel.
