Business Support Team Leader - Adecco : Job Details

Hello, Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Business Support Team Leader to join South Yorkshire Police.

This is a temporary post, for 12 months and would be based at Sheffield, Attercliffe Police Station.

The role will be office based initially, with the potential for some hybrid working after training. The post is full time, working office hours Monday to Friday.

The Role & Responsibilities:

• To provide a supervisory role to all administration, clerical, typing, janitorial and driver staff at District.
• 1st line supervisor responsible for support staff who provide service at Police Station enquiry desks.
• First level supervision / rostering of allocated staff across a variety of functions: these may include CCTV, Enquiry Desk, Crime Support, Accident Clerks, Secretarial, Administrative, Finance, Scene Visitors and RTC specialists. (Supervision includes the task prioritisation, working arrangements, performance management, welfare, discipline and development of the allocated staff.)
• Responsible for the GRS and PDR records of the staff.
• Recruitment and Selection.
• Health and Safety in the allocated areas including Risk Assessment.
• Could include the management of inventories, vehicles, equipment, and/or, accommodation in support of the First Line Manager.

Experience Required:

• Ability to demonstrate experience of clerical duties in an office environment.
• Experience of using Microsoft applications e.g. MS Word, Excel etc.
• Ability to supervise a team.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous office experience gained in a police or legal environment
• Management Qualification
