Department: Children’s Social CareAbout the Role We are seeking a highly organised and professional Business Support Minute Taker to join the Children’s Safeguarding Team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support vital services that make a real difference to the lives of children, young people, and families.You will play a key role in providing high-quality administrative support, with a particular focus on minute-taking for Strategy Meetings and other multi-agency meetings. This role requires confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure in a sensitive and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
- Accurately minute and produce records of Strategy Meetings and other professional meetings.
- Prepare and type reports, letters, memos, and other correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with data protection requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to the Children’s Services safeguarding team.
- Liaise with partner agencies to ensure smooth information-sharing and communication.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, as well as handling telephone queries.
- Support colleagues by participating in supervision, team meetings, and training activities.
About You We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in minute-taking in formal settings.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word and other office software.
- Organised, with strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- An excellent communicator, able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to work well in a team environment.
Qualifications & Experience (Essential):
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Proven clerical/administrative experience.
- Experience in providing word processing services.
- Ability to cope with sensitive child protection information.
