What it's like to work here

You'll be part of a team providing on site archiving and virtual administrative support to colleagues from a variety of disciplines across London and the South East. You’ll be based at our regional office at Scotney Castle but there will be an opportunity to explore and agree a hybrid working arrangement which strikes the right balance for you and the Trust. You will also be part of a virtual team across the region supporting a variety of workstreams.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for someone with a strong administrative skillset, able to turn their hand to whatever comes their way – whether it’s helping with archiving, helping a property with purchasing, or supporting our volunteers, you’ll want to help others to the best of your ability.

The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same so you’ll have to love variety. As well as supporting day to day operations, you’ll have the chance to support a variety of projects and offer your advice beyond your team. You’ll always champion best practice when it comes to business support, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something.

  • relevant experience in a Business Support environment; along with facilities or office supervision responsibility
  • good written and verbal communication skills
  • great team player
  • flexible and customer -focussed with strong customer service skills
  • able to multi-task and prioritise own workload
  • well organised and attention to detail
  • strong IT Skills
