Hourly Rate: £30-£35

Job Type: Sessional

We are seeking a dedicated Sessional Business Lecturer to join our Business department. This role is crucial in delivering engaging and effective lessons to support our learners' success and contribute to the achievement of the college's strategic goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

Develop and guide students through their learning programmes, including action planning, reviews, and progression.

Deliver learning and undertake assessment across a range of programmes, ensuring the success of your learners.

Contribute to curriculum and staff development activities.

Develop and produce learning and assessment materials using Google Suite.

Embed employability and employer engagement activities into the programmes, ensuring learners undertake appropriate work experience.

Provide innovative teaching and learning experiences, developing a personalised and holistic approach.

Undertake administrative duties as required by the College, including marking registers and evaluating the quality of provision within the programme area.

Participate in liaison, marketing activities, and events outside of normal college hours, such as parent evenings and summer schools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent vocationally relevant qualification.

Relevant vocational qualification to level 3.

Teaching qualification e.g., DTLLS or equivalent.

GCSE grade A*-C in English and Maths or equivalent.

A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience up to and including Level 3.

Vocational employment experience.

Experience in teaching/training at Level 4 and above is desirable.

Assessment and verification experience.

Strong communication skills, team working, customer/learner focus, and innovation and problem-solving abilities.
