Business Development Officer - Reed : Job Details

• Salary: £16.50 per hour
• Location: Woodford Green, IG8
• Job Type: Part-time (21 hours per week)
• Duration: 12 weeks initially with the possibility of extension

As the Local Business Development Officer, you’ll play a vital role in raising awareness, generating income, and creating sustainable partnerships that help my client continue their life-changing work with children and families.

• Serve as the primary contact for new and existing Local Business Partners, including recruiting partners, responding to inquiries, and providing partnership support and advice.
• Identify, research, and engage local businesses to secure support for my client, working closely with the Community and Events Manager.
• Utilise the Raiser’s Edge database to meticulously record and track interactions with donors.
• Organize and, if applicable, deliver presentations and meetings to promote their mission and collaborative opportunities.
• Develop customised strategies to recruit new local business support from across the community.
• Monitor and report on outreach activities, fundraising income, and engagement levels.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Proven experience in business development, community engagement, or a similar role would be advantageous but not essential
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
• High level of proficiency in using databases like Raiser’s Edge and MS Office Suite.
• Passion for community service and experience in fundraising or non-profit sector preferred.
