Starting Point Recruitment is thrilled to present a permanent position for our esteemed client based within the London area.Job Title: Business Development Manager (Projects)Salary £45-50K per annum plus OTELocation: KentThe Business Development Manager (Projects) will join our established sales team,  in selling Fire Detection, Sprinklers, Suppression, Security, Voice, Monitoring, and Integrated Systems.Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate project opportunities and lead the surveying, quoting, and closing of project sales for Senseco Systems.
  • Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing client base and key accounts across various sectors to enhance business resilience.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and commercial attractiveness of quotations and proposals.
  • Achieve target sales volumes and margins from new business targets and identified/new accounts.
  • Maintain regular communication with potential customers to identify business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Survey sites to gather asset and site information for maintenance quotations.
  • Handle incoming enquiries, extract relevant information, and develop maintenance proposals accordingly.
  • Produce professional quotations using company standard format and costing tools, ensuring successful contract acquisition at appropriate margins.
  • Prepare monthly reports and accurate forecasts as per company requirements.
  • Update the Database/system regularly and ensure compliance with company data storage policies.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in PC software (Excel/Word/Outlook).
  • Strong written, oral, and numerical skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
Competencies:
  • FIA (or recognised) training course on fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Structured sales training or relevant experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the fire and security industry in a customer-facing/technical role.
  • Knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems, EVCS, PAVA, suppression systems.
