Business Development Manager – Fulfilment/Distribution
Ideally based Midlands or North West – Remote working
Salary Up to: £60K base Plus either a Car Allowance of £6500K per an, or a Company Electric car and a smaller allowance Plus fantastic commission OTE £90K plus
Our Client is one of the leaders in International Distribution.
This is a 100% New Business Hunter role – prospecting, building a pipeline and securing new accounts Nationally
The Role
To drive new business growth and develop long-term relationships with SME clients in need of logistics and fulfilment services. This role is pivotal in creating and expanding the company’s customer base, increasing revenue, and enhancing market presence.
Fulfilment customers will be implicitly linked to our distribution solutions. Diving into the value chain of our customers, creating long term lock-in with our duals FFL and distribution proposition.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the SME sector.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Work effectively within the sales team to maximise sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing in order to create brand presence in the FFL domain.
- Guide the lead gen team with scripts, variables in order to generate leads.
- Understand client logistics needs and propose tailored fulfilment solutions.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
- Attend industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows to promote the brand.
- Ensure all sales procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service agreements.
- To provide customers with timely and relevant information about services.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Present a professional image of the company to all at all times and develop and maintain relationship with prospective and existing customers.
