Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager Purpose:
To grow the business through proactive sales activity, client relationship management and identifying new commercial opportunities
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
• Plan sales appointments with prospective, developing and existing clients, creating a strategy to engage and secure new opportunities• Develop procedures and processes that help the sales function run efficiently and effectively to meet targets• Identify and create new business opportunities• Contact new and existing clients through meetings, phone calls and networking• Prepare presentations and proposals for prospective clients• Manage your own schedule and set your own appointments• Sell air and sea freight services covering both imports and exports• Support the Business Development team during sales meetings• Record visit reports in the company CRM system• Meet sales reporting requirements and visit-related KPIs• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and industry contacts to maximise sales potential in your area• Monitor competitor sales performance to help the company maintain and grow its market position
