Business Development Manager – Ducting & Pipework (Mining, Groundworks, Tunnelling)

Are you a commercially savvy professional with a solid understanding of the infrastructure and heavy civil engineering sectors? Do you have experience selling into mining, groundworks, or tunnelling projects? If so, we want to hear from you!

Elevation Recruitment are seeking a Business Development Manager to work with one of their key clients in order to drive growth and expand market share in the supply of ducting and pipework solutions across critical infrastructure projects.

The business are a trusted supplier of high-performance ducting, pipework, and civil engineering products. Known for their technical expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction, they work with some of the UK’s leading contractors and infrastructure firms. Our products are widely used in demanding environments where durability and compliance are non-negotiable.

The Role:

You’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities, particularly within mining operations, tunnelling works, and groundworks contractors. You’ll build strong relationships with project managers, procurement teams, and specifiers, ensuring our solutions are front of mind at every stage of the project cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the mining, groundworks, and tunnelling sectors

  • Identify and qualify new leads through networking, site visits, and market research

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, engineers, and decision-makers

  • Deliver product presentations and technical support where needed

  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, operations, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Track market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven B2B sales experience in Ducting or Mining products

  • Strong understanding of the infrastructure, mining, or tunnelling industries

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage your own pipeline, and deliver results

  • UK driving licence
