Job Description :

Our client is a customer focussed, financial services provider, seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their retail team. Working directly for the Head of Retail you will be Driving forward new business opportunities that build sustainable financial growth, boosting liquidity, and forging strong relationships with SME’s & Charities.

Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager will be:

  • Proactively contributing to the successful delivery of the Society’s liquidity objective
  • Proactively building strong relationships with local businesses and community partners
  • Utilising internal and external data sources to identify and self-generate leads
  • Pitching retail savings to SME’s and community partners, including charities, and workplace savings across a wide range of external stakeholders
  • Holding events at business and community forums as required
  • Delivering impactful community initiatives and drive social value.
  • Attending conferences and events to continually build relationships and drive the Society’s brand.
  • Appointment booking, by cold calling and closing appointment-based activity over telephone/face to face.
  • Aligning external marketing communication by working collaboratively with the Marketing team
  • Improving the customer journey by achieving excellent, swift, efficient and error free management of customer’s transactions and administration, keeping the customer informed of any delays or issues.
  • Responsible for the development of operational activity in the team to deliver Society customer service standards and KPI’s within agreed SLA’s.
  • Managing, measuring, and monitoring team activity for accuracy/productivity ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with Policy and Procedures, all relevant regulation and codes of practice and SBS SLA’s and KPI’.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders who are instrumental to achieving successful customer outcomes.
  • Ensuring own and team adherence to all areas covered within the Quality Assurance document, regulatory standards, audit, compliance, risk and health and safety through regular control checks.
  • Performing regular Quality Assurance on the end-to-end processes and documenting the results, with metrics agreed within own goals.
  • Sharing knowledge with other branches and departments on effective practices, business opportunities and needs

The successful candidate for the role will possess:

  • Previous business development management experience within the mortgage industry
  • Deep understanding and experience in relationship management
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Prepared to cover/travel.
