Business Development Manager - VRS Recruitment : Job Details

Our client has recently acquired numerous testing facilities across the UK, continuing their rapid expansion within the analytical testing solutions sector. They are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join their team and lead their strategic expansion.

Complex trace analytical chemistry techniques are utilised by pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device companies to allow for accurate testing for potential contamination by extractables and leachables.

In this position, you will focus strongly on business development and targeting new business opportunities. We are searching for a hunter mentality, someone who is passionate about driving profitable sales expansion, negotiating and thrives in a competitive environment.

If you can identify opportunities, customer trends and can deliver high quality presentations then this role is for you!

Activities within the role include:

· Development and implementation of action plans

· Prospection, generation and following-up leads

· Technical and commercial follow-ups with customers

· Working closely with customers to ensure they have the correct solutions, support and assistance required

· Attending talks, conferences and national & international meetings

The ideal candidate will come from a scientific background (Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely related) and have solid experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry equipment. To succeed in this position, you must enjoy helping people, have excellent communication skills, and be organised and proactive.

For your services you will receive an excellent salary package, 15% OTE and a company car. This position will be based remotely, with expected UK wide travel approximated at 50%.
