Business Development Executive - SaaS / Software Sales

Location: Christchurch, Dorset (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote)Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum (DOE) + Commission OTEJob Type: Full-time, PermanentWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

The Opportunity

A growing UK-based software and SaaS company is looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join its collaborative and ethical sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a tech business that supports high-profile organisations across finance, retail, engineering and media by providing secure data transfer and workflow automation solutions.

This role offers hybrid working (3 office days and 2 home days) and the chance to work in a supportive, ambitious team that values professional development and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage with new business opportunities across the mid-market and enterprise space

  • Qualify inbound marketing and technical leads and book meetings for Account Managers

  • Generate outbound leads via phone, email, LinkedIn and campaign activity

  • Build prospect lists by sector using LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and support sales forecasting

  • Collaborate with resellers, partners and internal departments to drive sales

  • Represent the company at industry events, online groups, and partner site visits

  • Stay up to date with trends in secure file transfer, SaaS, and workflow automation

  • Contribute to marketing campaign success through timely lead follow-up and feedback

About You
  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B business development or sales, ideally in a SaaS, software, or IT environment

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and lead generation

  • CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot); LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience is a plus

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and a collaborative team player

  • A passion for delivering value to clients and helping them solve complex business challenges
