Business Development Executive – Logistics – Stoke- on- Trent
Hybrid role – covering Midlands
Salary: up to £46K Base (including car allowance) plus Excellent Commission with uncapped OTE
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive with experience within the Parcels, Freight, Logistics, Warehousing and Fulfilment Industries
The role encompasses the identification and targeting of new opportunities and prospects. Building a pipeline of target Clients, making appointments and attending Sales appointments and closing the business and liaising with operations to implement the Client on board
Skills and Experience
- Have experience in a similar commercial role, excellent market knowledge and personal network
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and respond appropriately
- Have a positive, motivated attitude in the face of challenges and change with a focus on achievement and success
- Represent an innovative approach to problem-solving, coming up with new and unique ideas to overcome barriers
Key Responsibilities:
- Having strong industry knowledge and a wide network of sector specific contacts
- Influencing future strategy to ensure strong business fit with clients and value creation
- Engaging with customers and prospects, creating a tangible pipeline of opportunities – both strategic and tactical
- Managing the end to end sales process, closing new business opportunities and ensuring growth targets are met/exceeded
- Successfully negotiating new contracts and renewals within agreed commercial and service structures
- Meeting and exceeding financial targets.
