Business Development Executive - Full-Time - Office Based

My Client is looking for an ambitious salesperson.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional looking to grow their sales career in an exciting industry.

Up to £50000 basic and on-target commission earnings of up to £22,000 in the first year, plus bonuses, travel incentives, and much more.

Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Executive who is looking to grow their International Sales Career in a rewarding environment.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Identifying new sales leads
  • Pitching our portfolio
  • Build and grow a client portfolio using our established databases and commercial information to identify leads
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Attending trade shows and exhibitions to generate leads and relationships
  • Supporting the business attending events and delivering successful events, where client satisfaction is paramount

This is an outbound telephone sales role, where you will be required to make calls, convert and nurture relationships with an international client base. To succeed you will have to quickly understand complex industrial markets and confidently captivate your target with a consultative sales approach.

When it comes to generating leads, day-to-day duties typically include:

  • Mining data and prospects from our targeted databases and managing your time efficiently across various time zones
  • Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport, making sufficient calls/contact and your time efficiently in order to meet your revenue targets
  • Consult and engage with clients to understand their needs and sell the most appropriate package/event
  • Follow up on calls made and record information in the CRM, with detailed notes, to provide a clear pipeline of sales to the senior management team
  • Use your communication skills to sell the event concept and close deals with clients who are not native English speakers
  • Networking in industry, sector and specialism to become an key representative in your market
  • Attending major rade shows/exhibitions to generate further leads and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Work as an integral member of a team, motivating one another and communicating effectively

Monthly individual and team KPIs will be set in line with a comprehensive commission scheme and will be coupled with additional monetary and travel incentives to motivate you to achieve.

Candidate Profile

You must possess the following key skills/experience:

  • At least 3 years experience working within a Sales, B2B or Business Development position
  • Highly motivated, ambitious & driven by success
  • Confident within a target-driven environment
  • Experience in events, trade shows or exhibition sales preferred

  • Strong communication and IT fluency
  • Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
  • Capability to develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
