Derwentside College’s Business Development Team have developed long-standing relationships with a range of leading employers across a variety of employment sectors throughout the North East. As such, we are fortunate to be working alongside some of the region’s largest employers, providing training support for workforce development.

What you will do?

Derwentside College’s Business Development Team is dynamic and innovative, placing our learners and employers at the heart of what we do. To be a successful Business Development Consultant, you will have a proven track record in sales within the education sector, which will support you in playing an instrumental role in the College’s strategy for growth. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and with the self-motivation to find and win new clients, you will work with both new and existing employers to manage relationships to a very high standard. You will also be results driven with the ability to work under pressure to meet targets, as well as having a strong business acumen and a high level of personal integrity.

This is a permanent, full time post (working 35 hours per week). Regional travel will be required as part of the role; therefore, use of your own transport, a current valid driving licence and business insurance is essential. Starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of experience.
