Business Adviser
- Annual Salary: £35,500 + Company Car
- Location: Field-based across Lancaster, Morecambe, and the Lake District
- Job Type: 18-Month Fixed Term Contract
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Business Adviser to join our field sales team in the Lancaster, Morecambe, and Lake District area. This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone with a proven background in sales, account management, or retail operations, looking to make an impact in a fast-paced and regulated sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support a high-performing team across the Lancaster, Morecambe, and Lake District area in a dynamic role involving regular travel, relationship-building, and problem-solving in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Responsible for delivering store visits that drive performance, provide coverage during team absences, and ensure consistent achievement of KPIs.
- Activities include meeting call rate targets, selling products, educating retail staff, investigating stock anomalies, ensuring planogram compliance, and executing merchandising strategies.
- Operate across Independent, Symbol, Key Multiple Grocers, Wholesale, Gas, and Convenience channels using adaptive sales techniques to promote category growth and product visibility.
- Take an inquisitive approach to resolving store-level challenges and collaborate with Account Managers to implement and monitor effective solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Target-driven with a passion for customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to build lasting business relationships and communicate effectively.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A full UK driving licence (manual or automatic) held for at least 2 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
