Job Description :

An international biotechnology company in Stockport (Bredbury) are looking for a Business Administrator to support them on a 10-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave from late October.

Overview:This role is central to a professional and supportive business environment, providing key administrative support to the Directors and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be a trusted representative of the company, handling confidential information with discretion and embodying the company’s values in all interactions.

Role: Business Administrator

Pay: £26,535 (pro rota)

Location: Stockport, Bredbury

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

Contract Length: 10 months

Start Date: late October

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily administrative tasks and priorities.
  • Greet visitors and manage front-of-house presentation.
  • Handle incoming calls and post.
  • Organise meetings, appointments, travel, and accommodation.
  • Maintain supplies.
  • Coordinate internal events and provide general support to Directors.

Person Specification:

  • Friendly, confident, and positive attitude.
  • Highly organised with experience in fast-paced admin roles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, ideally Office 365).
  • Discreet, resilient, flexible, and a strong team player.
  • Able to multitask and work quickly and accurately.
