Are you a driven and detail-focused Project Manager or Building Surveyor with a strong background in the UK residential sector? Join our dynamic Projects team and work directly with the Deputy Managing Director to help shape and deliver high-profile regional residential developments.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take full ownership of exciting projects—from planning through to construction and successful handover. As we expand and invest in new opportunities, you'll play a critical role in laying the foundation for sustainable growth and transformation in residential living.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver capital works projects across the UK residential market, ensuring each project meets high standards for safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Manage all project stages—from design and procurement through delivery and completion—while acting as a trusted representative for our clients.
- Chair and coordinate meetings with key stakeholders including design teams, cost consultants, contractors, and specialist advisors.
- Oversee scheduling, reporting, and quality assurance to keep projects on time, within budget, and aligned with the original vision.
- Apply a disciplined approach to cost management, change control, and programme delivery using established tools and best practices.
- Act as Employer’s Agent, Contract Administrator, and Client Representative under various contractual appointments.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while cultivating a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery methods, construction techniques, and procurement strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- A track record of successfully managing construction and refurbishment projects up to £10m in value.
- Strong understanding of the UK residential market, including supply chains, construction methods, and procurement processes.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to analyse and challenge cost information effectively.
- Knowledge of project programming, activity durations, dependencies, and constraints.
- Proven experience in leading change management initiatives throughout project lifecycles.
- Comfortable managing risk, adapting to challenges, and driving projects to successful outcomes.
Qualifications & Background
- Degree in Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional experience in residential construction project delivery.
- Membership of or working towards a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or APM is highly desirable.
