Building Safety Manager - SNG (Sovereign Network Group) : Job Details

We have an opportunity for a Building Safety Manager to join us. You'll be based from our Wembley offices combining office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance.

What you'll be doing

This role will proactively lead a team of Building Safety Officers to fulfil SNG's landlord obligations, making sure that all relevant and required information is readily available and of high data quality.

The Building Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring that safety cases are present and up to date whilst ensuring that any risks identified are being mitigated. Expected to support in the planning, managing, and monitoring of the various tasks necessary together with the monthly inspection of our high-risk properties.

The role will provide expertise and assistance ensuring all SNG obligations and commitments are met while maintaining a transparent audit trail / golden thread that is readily available to evidence to the regulator.

This role will proactively be supporting customer engagement events to ensure the customer voice is represented within SNG, whilst working with our customers to ensure the overall safety of all relevant persons.

What we need from you

• Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety.
• Experience of managing a range of stakeholders and working at a senior management level.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of building safety, fire safety, building regulations, health and safety legislation.
• Wide knowledge base within residential property and related safety / compliance
• Ability to impact assess to understand the difference between ‘major' and ‘minor' data issues.
• Experience in providing strategic reports and business cases.
• Understanding of building construction methods.
• In-depth knowledge of passive and active fire protection.
