Building Control Surveyor - Service Care Solutions - Construction : Job Details

A client within the Public Sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for a Building Control Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Building Control environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to undertake technical assessments and inspections of building projects, ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended), the Building Act 1984 and associated legislation, including enforcement of Building Regulations, dangerous structures, and demolitions.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Manage a caseload of domestic and non-domestic projects, providing professional advice and taking enforcement action as required• Conduct site inspections and liaise with consultees, stakeholders and relevant organisations• Undertake dangerous structures inspections and instruct necessary remedial action• Prepare case files for enforcement or other legal action to maintain compliance• Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on Building Control mattersThe CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:• Registered with Building Safety Regulator as a minimum Class 2E (Assessment & Inspection)• Full membership in CABE, RICS or MCIOB• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building control sectorThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Detailed knowledge of building construction and Building Regulations• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills• Full driving licence and access to a carThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £65 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £55 per hour PAYE).How to ApplyIf this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to .uk or call Amy at Service Care Construction on to discuss the vacancy in more detail.Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.Referral BonusIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details, or forward these details to them.
