If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker for roles in the Sheffield area. We are working with both mainstream and specialist schools and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be instrumental in creating a secure and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Use your skills to de-escalate difficult situations and help pupils regain a sense of calm.

  • Provide close, individualised support to pupils, building a trusting relationship and helping them through challenging moments.

  • Confidently carry out bespoke behaviour support plans, working towards clear goals and objectives for each child.

  • Help pupils re-integrate into the classroom and participate in group activities.

  • Maintain open lines of communication with the class teacher and other staff, ensuring a consistent approach to behaviour support.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you must possess:

  • A proven background in working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviour within a school or youth setting.

  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

  • The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.

  • Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, such as Team Teach or MAPA, is highly desirable.

  • A calm, patient, and highly resilient approach.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils' emotional and social development
