Job Description :

A large professional services organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive BPSS Administrator to support UK Government projects. This role is essential in managing and administering Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks for new joiners and existing employees transitioning to high-security roles.

This is an initial 6-month contract position with a daily rate of £18 per hour via an Umbrella company (Inside IR35), the role will be based in Central London and we are able to offer hybrid working (2 to 3 days a week in the office).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer BPSS checks for new joiners and employees moving onto UK Government projects.
  • Provide timely updates and clear communication to project leads regarding the status of checks.
  • Collaborate with project leads and HR managers to resolve any issues with incomplete or failed checks.
  • Lead and participate in calls with client PMOs to deliver updates and address concerns.
  • Develop and maintain Local Work Instructions and process documentation.
  • Respond to client queries and requests at all levels, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Represent the organisation professionally when engaging with third-party providers.
  • Handle all confidential and sensitive data in line with data protection policies and UK Government guidance.
  • Review and approve third-party invoice requests, ensuring alignment with services rendered.
  • Support the Team Lead with business excellence initiatives.
  • Provide aftercare services related to BPSS clearances.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in recruitment administration or a similar administrative role.
  • Familiarity with conducting DBS, DS checks, and/or National Security Vetting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information securely.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with process documentation and workflow mapping is a plus.
