Bookkeeper (Part-Time)Location: Central Derby Hours: 22.5 per week (3 days, 9am - 5pm with 30-minute break)Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 full-time equivalent (pro rata)

Macildowie are actively recruiting for a Part-Time Bookkeeper on behalf of our client in central Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a hands-on finance role, working as part of a small and supportive accounts team. The position will suit someone with strong bookkeeping experience who is confident managing ledgers, payroll, and reconciliations, with scope to develop into management accounts in the longer term.

The RoleReporting into the Manager and working closely with the finance team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the purchase ledger including invoice processing, payment allocation and reconciliations

• Processing payroll

• Supporting credit control, focused on high-value invoices with minimal chasing required

• Assisting with reconciliations and general bookkeeping tasks

• Potential to support with management accounts and budgeting as the business continues to grow

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience across both sides of the ledger

• Payroll knowledge

• Some credit control experience

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• A proactive team player who can also work independently

Working Pattern

• Part-time role, 22.5 hours per week across three days

• Monday is essential, with the other two days flexible but consistent each week

• Office-based role in central Derby
