We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an exciting role for an adaptable bookkeeper who loves the fact, that no two days are the same.
As a key member of the bookkeeping department, you will be responsible for:
Reporting to senior staff you will be responsible for bookkeeping in accordance with company procedures and meeting all necessary deadlines.
Role duties and responsibilities:
• Purchase ledger management and reconciliations.
• Sales ledger management and reconciliations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Entering journals.
• Management reporting.
• Complete bookkeeping to Trial Balance ready for accounts production.
• Liaising with HMRC.
• Regular communication with management.
• Resolving supplier and invoice queries.
• Ad hoc related tasks that may arise.
The ideal candidate:
• Accounts preparation experience.
• The ability to work both within a small team and alone essential.
• Very good knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and/or other cloud-based software.
• AAT L3/L4 or qualified by experience.
• Minimum 2 years accounts experience.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice, a multi-site environment, inter-company accounting or demonstrable industry bookkeeping experience. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong technical knowledge of financial systems and processes.
