Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant - Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd : Job Details

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client who are an established manufacturing business based in Haslingden

Salary - £28-32k dependant on skills and experience

The role would suit a candidate from practice looking to move over to an industry role or a candidate with all round experience in a company with a turnover probably less than £10m

The company are open to applicants looking to work anywhere between 30 hour and full time hours so slightly reduced hours wouldn’t be an issue or full time.

You will be working closely with the Directors, Operations Manager and the wider team on a daily basis ensuring smooth running of the office and dealing with any client enquires efficiently

A key part of the role will also include the preparation and review of VAT returns and also Payroll for the team of around 30 employees

Responsibilities/Experience/Skills required:

• Strong bookkeeping knowledge of Sage and or other accounting systems
• VAT return preparation, review and submission using MTD
• Payroll input experience monthly and weekly
• Payment of salaries using online banking
• Strong Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills
• Daily, weekly bank reconciliation - purchase ledger, making payments to suppliers - raising of purchase offers
• Aged debt management - logging of sales invoices
• Opportunity to get involved in management accounts
