Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice - Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd : Job Details

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a friendly, well-established practice in Oldham?We are working with a respected accountancy firm in Oldham with a longstanding client base and strong local reputation. They are looking for a confident and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys a varied workload and working closely with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC
• Reconciling bank statements and control accounts
• Assisting clients with software queries (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Supporting with management accounts preparation where required
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in an accountancy practice environment
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
• Proficient in cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
