What you will do

The service engineer will carry out control systems servicing on customer sites and identify growth opportunities for the JCI business units. This role is mobile working predominantly on customer sites in the South West of London such as Swindon, Reading, Basingstoke and Southampton areas.

How you will do it 

As part of the South Controls Business, you will:

  • Understand the full range of Johnson Controls product offerings and their applications in customer solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and vendors
  • Configure the building control systems as defined by the clients objectives
  • Maintain operation and maintenance documentation to reflect changes of the system.
  • Service and maintain control system and network-level controllers
  • Implement software program modifications using established standards
  • Consult and train customer representatives in system operations 
  • Document service activities and service report creation
  • Assist the Field Line Manager with pricing and design

What we look for

Required:                                                                

  • 2-6 years of experience in Control system as a service engineer  
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or to related field  
  • Focus on Innovation and improving the service delivery model, as well as leading the implementation of improvements within the VIP customer base.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Ability to work alone and when necessary, within the wider service team. A proactive approach to ongoing learning is essential; this will be supplemented by formal and on the job training
  • Full clean UK Driving License

Preferred:

  • Professional Certifications/Diploma within the related field 
  • Working knowledge of Metasys systems in both industrial and commercial environments
