Keoghs are looking to recruit an assistant into their small billing team based in Parklands, Bolton. Keoghs is one of the leading providers of claims-related services to insurers, businesses and other suppliers to the insurance sector. This enables us to create individual solutions for each of our clients that match their requirements in terms of quality, performance and value for money.Key Accountabilities

The main part of the role is the processing of daily bills - drafting, checking for errors and ensuring that bills are generated in line with client guidelines, investigate reasons for any bill discrepancies, and take appropriate steps to reduce the cause of such errors. You will be dealing with the processing of bills for a major client via electronic process, manual keying, checking, chasing for budgets and liaising with fee earners on the file. The role also involves despatching bills by post and email and answering any queries arising.

The updating of bill distribution records, printing and sending bills for other members of the billing team. At times you will be assisting with the bill amendments inbox and triggering final bills. The position will require you to provide cover for other team members from time to time. You will liaise with our fee earning community and other members of Keoghs staff, ensuring all tasks are carried out effectively and to a high standard.

Working Hours35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Location for this role is Bolton, Parklands Office, processing of the bills would need to be done in the office. 1 day working from home, unless cover is needed.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • IT literate including excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional manner and good communication skills. Have the ability to communicate effectively with other Keoghs staff members at varying levels.
  • Good numeracy skills, confident with numbers and able to balance and reconcile figures
  • Ability to work to tight timescales to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Take an active role within the Finance department and display excellent team working skills
  • Flexible in work approach
