ACR is working with a highly successful and growing organisation in the contracting sector, based in Huyton, Liverpool. We are recruiting for a Bid Writer to join on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers excellent benefits, free on-site parking, and the opportunity to play a pivotal role in securing high-value contracts within the social housing sector.This is a key appointment, reporting into senior leadership and working closely with operational teams, Business Development, and the wider Bid function. You'll be responsible for leading on the preparation, coordination, and submission of compelling, compliant bids and proposals, helping the business continue its impressive growth trajectory.We're looking for an experienced Bid Writer with a strong understanding of the UK tendering environment and demonstrable knowledge of the social housing sector. Experience of the fire safety industry would be an advantage, but is not essential.Salary & Benefits

What will be expected of you:
- Lead the writing, editing, and coordination of bids, tenders, and PQQs for public and private sector opportunities
- Analyse tender documents and ensure submissions are fully compliant with requirements
- Develop tailored, persuasive content that highlights the organisation's expertise in social housing
- Collaborate with Directors, the Bid team, and operational staff to gather technical content and case studies
- Manage bid timelines and ensure submissions are completed to the highest standards and deadlines
- Contribute to bid strategy, win themes, and value propositions
- Maintain a library of bid content, templates, and supporting materials
- Track and report on bid outcomes, identifying areas for improvement
- Consider and integrate social value requirements into submissions
What we're looking for:
- Experience as a Bid Writer (or similar) in the UK
- Demonstrable knowledge of social housing tendering processes and frameworks
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to translate technical detail into clear, compelling content
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with procurement portals (e.g. ProContract, Delta)
- A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to work independently
