Your new company Hays Construction & Property Belfast are working in partnership with a highly reputable, top-tier construction company to source a Bid Co-ordinator. This contractor is a leading construction firm, established over 40 years ago and operates in many sectors within the construction sector throughout the UK and Ireland. They have been responsible for the delivery of a range of bespoke large-scale building projects across various sectors. Due to consistent success, this contractor is set to expand even more than they have done recently. They now require a Bid Co-ordinator to join their Pre-Construction Team. Your new role Reporting directly to the Bid Manager, you will have individual responsibility for the successful conversion of project bid opportunities from tender award stage to contract execution. Based in Belfast, you will assist in the compilation of educational, healthcare, residential and leisure tender submissions. Therefore, you will be expected to assist in the review, preparation and delivery of tenders to prospective clients and internally to Senior Management. The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team as you will be expected to collaborate with the Pre-Contracts Team as well as other teams within the company.What you'll need to succeed You will preferably have a third-level qualification in a construction related discipline and will have experience of working within the construction industry in a pre-construction role. Persons will ideally be coming with 2 years' experience from a contract delivery or bid management background with strong client facing and commercial exposure. You must have a high level of knowledge in relation to construction contracts and design principles, whilst also being able to present high quality bid documents. Excellent IT skills, including knowledge and application of programming software, will be necessary.
