Job Description :

We are now recruiting a Benefits Team Leader to lead the PCLS and UFPLS Benefits Teams in offering excellence in the processing of Benefit cases. The team leader will be responsible for the workload, development and performance of their team. They will work as a mentor and coach to ensure excellence, drive standards forward and act as the referral point for all technical queries from within the team. The role will be responsible for ensuring that their own administration and the teams is completed in line with group procedures and service level agreements.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Managing the workload of the team to ensure that all team administration is completed in line with group procedures and within service level agreements.
  • Mentoring and coaching to assist and develop fellow team members, offering guidance on specific procedures and processes. Also has responsibility for assisting as a technical guide to help colleagues with complex or difficult schemes or situations.
  • Monitoring ongoing benefits cases and processing them in line with service level agreements
  • Responsible for maintaining records of work completed by the team and for providing regular reports to the Manager including KPIs and monthly MI.
  • Carrying out general administration duties including answering client/adviser queries regarding benefits, maintaining a diary and spreadsheet system in line with service level agreements.
  • Monitoring the performance of individuals and providing constructive feedback to improve performance where appropriate. To include conducting performance reviews, regular 1-2-1s and team meetings, alongside day to day development and coaching.
  • Dealing with FTRs and complaints in line with FCA and group procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Customer Services Administrator team specifically within a supervisory role
  • Experience leading and motivating a team
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of AJ Bell products and services
  • Awareness of HMRC rules and FCA regulations relating to pensions and benefits in particular
