Behaviour Support Worker - Reed : Job Details

• Daily Rate: £85

• Job Type: Temporary (May half term until summer, with potential extension)

Reed Education are currently supporting a Scunthorpe based school to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join the team. The role involves working with two children, one in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the other in Year 1, to support their learning, social skills, and emotional development. This position is set to begin after the May half term and will continue until the summer, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

• Provide one-to-one support to two children, one in the morning (EYFS) and one in the afternoon (Year 1).
• Support the children’s learning, social skills, and emotional development.
• Follow the school’s behaviour policy and implement positive behaviour strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on the children’s progress and adapt strategies as needed to meet their individual needs.

• Level 2 qualification in a relevant field.
• Experience working in schools, preferably with EYFS and Year 1 students.
• Enhanced DBS with child's workforce
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques; Team Teach training would be an advantage.
• Ability to build rapport with children and engage them in learning.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
• Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to behaviour support.
