BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT WORKER - BOLTON - ASAP start

We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to deliver person centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health problems. You will be working in a school and supporting children and young people who need 1:1 support for multiple reasons, such as:

Children in Looked After CareAnxietyExclusionSpeech and language difficultiesPhysical and mental health issues, disabilities and learning difficulties

You must have:

Some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviourExperience of de-escalation training would be advantageousThe school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar rolesConfidence to make decisionsExcellent communication and the ability to build positive relationships with the studentsEmpathy and understandingWillingness to enhance skills with professional training and development
