Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children? We are seeking a committed and nurturing Behaviour Mentor to join our dedicated team at a vibrant mainstream primary school.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children who may be experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.

The RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils across all year groups, providing tailored one-to-one and small group support. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong, positive relationships with children to support their behaviour and emotional development

• Implement individual behaviour support strategies in line with school policies

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCo, and parents/carers to ensure consistent support

• Help to create a calm, supportive learning environment for all pupils

• Contribute to wider school life and support pupils during unstructured times, such as playtimes and transitions

About You

• Experience of working with children in a school or pastoral setting

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to remain positive and resilient under pressure

• Understanding of behaviour support techniques and safeguarding principles
