A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Windsor are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behaviour Intervention Lead to support students in Years 9–11 who face challenges accessing education due to behavioural barriers. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assess pupil needs and develop individual behaviour plans.
  • Deliver one-to-one, small group, and whole-class behaviour interventions.
  • Support reintegration of suspended or disaffected pupils.
  • Supervise pupils not on full timetables and mentor them toward positive choices.
  • Coach and train staff on behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with safeguarding and SEND teams to address complex behavioural needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions using school systems.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and external partners.
  • Conduct home visits where necessary to support behaviour improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualifications & Training:
    • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Grade C or above in English and Maths – Essential.
  • Experience:
    • Working with young people with behavioural challenges in schools, PRUs, or similar settings – Essential.
    • Delivering behaviour support programmes and training – Essential.
    • Working with families and external agencies – Essential.
    • Conducting assessments and developing tailored interventions – Essential.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong communication and listening skills.
    • Deep understanding of behaviour management strategies.
    • Ability to tailor interventions to individual needs.
    • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
    • Confident in using IT systems for reporting and analysis.
    • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.
