Job Description :

A global market leader in the smoking accessories sector, known for its innovative approach, premium product design, and commitment to quality. After securing a dominant presence in the US and the UK, they are now rapidly expanding our business across Europe, with Germany as a key growth market.

We seek an ambitious, experienced sales professional to lead the Brands’ entry into the German market. This role is responsible for growing B2B sales, expanding their footprint across smoke shops, vape stores, and convenience channels, and working alongside distribution and logistics partners to ensure operational excellence.

The role:

  • Develop and manage relationships with independent retailers, headshops, chains, wholesalers, and buying groups across Germany.
  • Open new accounts with specialty stores, vape shops, and major B2B customers.
  • Collaborate with distribution and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, stock availability, and compliance with German and EU tobacco/vape regulations.
  • Provide product education, category training, and promotional support to retail and wholesale partners.
  • Assist with planogram design, POP (point of purchase) displays, and merchandising execution tailored to the German retail environment.
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive outreach, structured follow-up, and in-person meetings.
  • Attend key industry trade shows, cannabis and vape expos, and other relevant networking events across Germany.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends (e.g., sustainability, tech-enhanced devices, cross-category innovations), and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
  • Ensure full compliance with local tobacco/vape product laws, taxation, and retail standards.
  • Report pipeline status, customer wins, and market intelligence regularly to European leadership.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5+ years B2B sales experience in smoking accessories, tobacco, vape, or relevant fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector in Germany.
  • Network: Solid contacts with key accounts - independent smoke shops, vape/cannabis/specialty retailers, cash & carry channels, and major wholesalers across Germany.
  • Knowledgeable: Deep understanding of German tobacco/vape regulations, TPD compliance, age-verification, taxation, and distance-selling restrictions for accessories.
  • Skills: Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication abilities, both in German and English.
  • Independent: Able to work remotely and autonomously, driving personal and team sales growth.
  • Category Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for the smoking accessories category and knowledge of evolving German consumer behaviors (e.g., eco-friendly, tech-enabled products).
  • Merchandising: Experience with retail planograms, POP display execution, and in-store promotional strategies.
  • Cross-Cultural: Comfortable representing a global brand entering the German market; experience with US-based brands or international product launches is a strong plus.
