Location: Hereford, Herefordshire (with occasional travel across the UK)
Salary: £35,000 basic £10,000 OTE commission
Certainly Wood is the UK’s leading supplier of kiln-dried logs, kindling, BBQ wood products and natural firelighters. We’ve built a strong reputation supplying directly to consumers, but our trade business is expanding fast—and we’re looking for a driven Trade Sales Manager to help us grow building upon our multi million pound existing trade base.
The Role
As B2B Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and growing our trade customer base, managing existing relationships, and driving new business opportunities. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you’ll play a key role in shaping our B2B sales strategy and ensuring we remain the supplier of choice for camping sites, firewood resellers, garden centres, stove retailers, and other trade partners. The role is office based at our site near Madley in Herefordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a proactive trade sales strategy to grow revenue
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing trade customers
- Identify and secure new trade partners across the UK
- Efficiently process customers’ orders through our ERP system
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote Certainly Wood
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reporting, and insights to the leadership team
- Manage and help develop our Trade Sales Executive, working as a team to hit both your sales targets
- Work closely with operations and marketing to ensure excellent customer service and brand consistency
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced sales professional (ideally in FMCG, home & garden, or related sectors).
- Target-driven with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals.
- A natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently.
- Willing to travel within the UK to meet customers and attend events.
- Has an understanding of online and social media marketing from a trade perspective
- Previous experience working in the firewood industry would be a distinct advantage but not a requirement.
