Lead Design Engineer - Azure

• £65,000 - 75,000
• Can be based in any UK regional office twice a week, work from home 3 days a week.

Leading professional services company is actively recruiting for an experienced Lead Design Engineer - Azure to act as technical authority for Cloud services, both those managed by Service and those delivered, through Build, Change and Operational Delivery in Private and Hosted Cloud and Supporting Services.This role will suit a 3rd Line infrastructure Engineer with Design experience who is used to collaborating with Architecture teams. The role will focus on desigining the configuration of the Azure stack in collaboration with a 3rd party supplier. This is NOT a Devops role nor does is involved any type of coding. Key Responsibilities:Driving the Vendor Delivery and Management of the UK Cloud estate primarily focused on Azure and ensuring it is operated in line with best practice industry standards and that key performance metrics are captured and reported, and the IT environment is optimised.This Includes Compliance and Lifecycle management, that technology remains updated in line with vendor support requirements and that best practice is adhered in areas including Version Control, Capacity Management, Data Cleansing, Archiving, Backup, Recovery, DR, and Business ContinuityCovering All Cloud Provisioned Solutions under manged Service - IaaS, PaaS, Storage, Data, Citrix (Lifecycle)Essential experience for the position of Lead Design Engineer - AzureThe successful candidate will be experienced in implementing and Supporting cloud solutions in Azure; preferably in a mixed Hosted and/or Vendor Managed Cloud Service.In addition, they will have:

• Experience in IaaS, PaaS, web services, Firewalls, Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD

• Experience of Cloud Native Delivery

• Experience in Managing and Maintaining Enterprise Applications

• Experience across the Windows Server 2016 and later and Windows Desktop Windows 10 and 11

• Experience in Managing Active Directory Domain Services including Group Policy and Certificate Services

• Experience in PowerShell Scripting
